First: Years ago, the bald eagle nearly disappeared from the United States, but efforts to save the national symbol saw success by the early 2000s. Today the large birds are a welcome sight in many wetlands around the country. Anna Matteo reports on the Bald Eagle, Americas national bird. (1:38)

Then: A private spacecraft carrying a series of science experiments has successfully landed on the moon. Blue Ghost launched in mid-January from Florida. It carried 10 experiments to the moon for the American space agency NASA. Bryan Lynn tells all about it on the Science and technology Report. (8:15)
